For the Phoenicia Hotel project pitch in collaboration with Bokja, our concept began with in-depth research into the hotel's legacy and its symbolic status as the “Grande Dame of Beirut.” We explored the common ground between Phoenicia’s refined heritage and Bokja’s vibrant, narrative-rich aesthetic. The design process included the creation of two bespoke tapestries, each reflecting the identity of a guest room. From these tapestries, we extracted distinct patterns and textures, integrating them thoughtfully into the interiors—on headboards, textiles, and select furniture—ensuring a seamless blend of storytelling, art, and spatial function. The proposal honored the hotel's history while introducing a fresh, meaningful layer of design intervention.
